A Bayesian network meta-analysis (NMA) was carried out for calculating standardized mean difference (SMD) and the surface under cumulative ranking curve (SUCRA) of improvement of knee joint function after TKA by different rehabilitation methods.|

This meta-analysis included randomized controlled trials that compared acupuncture intervention with either no treatment or a sham group after knee replacement.  +^Results|A total of **23 studies comprising 1,464 participants** were included. Significant improvement of active range of motion was observed on day 7 and week 2 after operation. Lower pain intensity at rest was noted in patients receiving acupuncture in short-term periods after operation (12 hours, day 1, day 2, day 5, and week 2). A reduction in pain intensity during movement with acupuncture was observed on postoperative day 1 and day 7.
